Taranaki Foundation is born of this same drive and commitment. A charitable community foundation created for the people of Taranaki, by the people of Taranaki, our vision is to nurture and grow the prosperity of our region through community giving, partnerships and philanthropy.
Thanks to the generous support of Destination Kāwaroa donors, funders, supporters, partners, and in-kind sponsors, the fundraising goal and project budget of $7 million has been successfully achieved.
This milestone ensures the completion of all planned stages and brings the full vision of Destination Kāwaroa to life.
Stage One officially opened in December 2024. Construction of Stage Two begins in May, with an expected opening in July. Stage Three will follow closely, beginning in June and also set for completion in July.
