Destination Kāwaroa

Together, we are building Destination Kāwaroa and transforming New Plymouth’s Kāwaroa Park for all ages to play, enjoy and explore – a place that will gather our community and celebrate our region’s rich culture, heritage, ecology.

Ngāmotu Marae

Let’s build Ngāmotu Marae.

With generosity and support from across our community construction can begin on this new community facility – Ngāmotu Marae, built on hapū-owned land adjacent to Ngāmotu Beach.

The commencement of this project is scheduled for mid 2025. Ngāti Te Whiti and Taranaki Foundation are actively promoting public engagement and encouraging contributions to ensure the complete realisation of this project.

Rural Support Trust

We’ve proudly partnered with the Rural Support Trust to support the Rural Leaders Dinner, Debate, and Auction Event at Fieldays. Taranaki Foundation is the professional fund manager for the event, with all proceeds going directly to the Rural Support Trust.
