Loren is a Taranaki local; her family has been farming in coastal Taranaki since the 1800s. Loren is very passionate about building strong and resilient communities. In her role as a business advisor at Velocite she enjoys supporting people to navigate change, build business growth strategies, business planning, succession planning and also provides coaching for business owners.
She has been an active volunteer in the region for the past 10 years in roles such as: Innovation and R&D Lead Group (Taranaki 2050), A Business Excellence Awards judge, mentoring at Startup Weekend, mentoring in the Taranaki Futures Accelerator Programme and a Taranaki Young Professionals executive committee member.
Loren is currently an emerging director on Ara Ake’s board and in 2022 she was the winner of the Emerging Director Award from the Institute of Directors, and was a board observer on WITTS’s board. She is also a Trustee of the Taranaki Foundation and, is on her family’s advisory board which governs dairy farming investments.
