Taranaki born-and-bred, Josh’s background is in finance, involvement with local and national charities and a passion for the region, makes him a natural choice to lead Taranaki Foundation.
A fellow chartered accountant, Josh has worked at PwC and TSB locally and sits on the NZ Council for CA ANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand).
After winning his personal battle with cancer, Josh chose to give back — becoming Cancer Society of NZ Taranaki Finance Chair and an executive member. He is also a co-founder of Ripple‚ a cancer support app for all New Zealanders. Josh was recognised in the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards as a 2021 Local Hero Medallist and Semi-Finalist.
Josh’s volunteer work for the Cancer Society of NZ takes him around NZ and our beautiful region where he is well-known and respected. He understands the power of grass-roots community initiatives and believes community engagement and collaboration is essential to our region’s long-term vibrancy, resilience and prosperity.
In December 2022, Josh was awarded a Fellowship by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand for his outstanding contribution to the profession and community.
“Taranaki Foundation gives us the opportunity, now, to create a better Taranaki for our children, grandkids and all those who follow.”
