Lindsay is staunchly proud Taranaki man, with a deep commitment to his community. Born and raised in the region, he attended Massey University, before embarking on a distinguished rugby career, playing 104 games for Taranaki from 1983 to 1991.
Professionally, Lindsay is an investment expert at The HTL Group Limited, where he has been provided personal financial planning and investment advice since 1989. He specialises in assisting commercial individuals and trustees, ensuring they receive tailored advice that meets their specific needs.
As a former representative lock, Lindsay was elected to the Taranaki Rugby Union board in 2008 after his tenure as Chairman of the Tukapa Rugby & Sports Club. From 2011 to 2020, he served as Chairman of Taranaki Rugby and is a Life Member of both the Tukapa Rugby & Sports Club and the Taranaki Rugby Football Union.
Lindsay’s commitment to the community has also included roles such as the Chairman of the Frankley School Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Francis Douglas Memorial College PTA, Trustee of Help A Taranaki Child Trust and member of the NZ Rugby Appointments & Remuneration Committee.
Lindsay looks forward to contributing to the Taranaki Foundation board, building on the significant achievements of previous trustees and working to expand the Foundation’s future footprint for greater outcomes in Taranaki and its communities.
