East Taranaki Environment Collective is a community led conservation initiative (administered by the East Taranaki Environment Trust) to protect and restore the ecosystem and biodiversity within our 13,000-hectare project area in East Taranaki. We work to control and eliminate invasive pest species using 1300 DOC 200 traps targeting mustelids and more than 1000 resetting traps (A12s and A24s) targeting rats and possums. Our pest control operations, through our trap network and goat control, aim to restore the habitats native species need to thrive in east Taranaki.
