Is the glass half empty or half full?
(Pictured from left are Taranaki Chamber of Commerce chief executive Arun Chaudhari, Centuria director Bryce Barnett, Cameron Bagrie and Taranaki Foundation chief executive Josh Hickford)
On Friday 30 April, our glass was full as we had the amazing opportunity to briefly introduce the Taranaki Foundation – what we do, our vision and how to get involved to nearly 200 Taranaki Business Professionals over a breakfast and a lunch session with Economist Cameron Bagrie.
Cameron focused on the BIG economic picture – the impact of housing laws; COVID-19 impacts including the skilled labour supply shortage and material and supply disruptions; property investment; consideration of economic versus social conscience; the decrease in regular attendance of school children nationally; and what we face as a country.
Thank you to Centuria (formerly Augusta) who made this event possible in association with the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce.
