Mark Bowden:
Mark has made significant contributions during his time on the Taranaki Foundation Board, notably as Chair of the Distribution Committee. Mark’s dedication to education was honoured with the Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) in the 2021 New Year Honours.
He strongly believes in community giving and acknowledges Taranaki’s rich history of philanthropy, noting, “much of what we share today, our parks and community resources, were given and developed by individuals and groups within our province – communities that give together grow together”.

Mark’s insightful leadership, dedication to robust grant making and expertise in grant distribution have been instrumental in progressing the Taranaki Foundation forward over the past few years. As we thank Mark for his service, we are confident that his legacy of leadership and unwavering commitment to our community will continue to inspire us all.
