A blessing of the playground took place on Tuesday 19th March. The site will be prepared with temporary fencing closing off the playground on the 20th March.
The current playground will be removed on 21st March and the seawall adjacent to the playspace is also having some maintenance done at the same time. The car park will still be operational at this time.
The coastal walkway will be closed for safe equipment removal and for maintenance work to be carried out on the sea wall.
The main civil contractor will start their work in April (aiming for early April but it is TBC). Once confirmed, the car park will be closed and the walkway will also be closed to allow for the hill play, stairs and timber terraced deck to be constructed safely. This will reopen this as soon as it is safe to do so.
The car park to the right by the aquatic Centre is still operational as is on-street parking. Users will be encouraged to use active modes of transports where possible during this time.
