Now in the fourth year of our partnership – Taranaki Foundation proudly acknowledges Shining Peak Brewing for their ongoing commitment as an Operational Supporter.

Based in the heart of Ngāmotu New Plymouth, Shining Peak has brewed with purpose since opening in 2019. Through their bold and generous “5% back to the community” model, every month 5% of beer revenues are donated to different charitable organisations. To date, through ‘The 5% Project’ they have contributed over $288,000 to grassroots causes across the region, a reflection of their commitment to Taranaki, both the place and its people.

Ajinkya Jagdale (also known as AJ), one of the founders of Shining Peak, says, “At Shining Peak, we believe every business should have a social mission at its core. Supporting Taranaki Foundation aligns perfectly with that mission.”

On average, 5% of Shining Peak beer sales equates to about $4,500 each month, which is donated directly to community needs. Beyond The 5% Project, Shining Peak also supports local initiatives by donating beer and gift vouchers for fundraisers, events, and community causes. This is their way of staying connected and giving back to the region that supports them.
