Ainsley has been involved in many different sectors of the South Taranaki community throughout her life. She and husband Philip returned, after university, to the family farm at Kapuni, where they raised their three sons.
Ainsley is passionate about improving health outcomes for Taranaki people and has a strong sense of social justice developed over her thirty years as Guidance Counsellor at Hāwera High School. She is a Ministerial Appointee on the Benefit Review Committee for Ministry of Social Development and was a member of the Consumer Council for Te Whata Ora Taranaki (TDHB).
Ainsley’s unique combination of business, governance and robust analytical skills were very useful in the eight years she spent as a Trustee and Director of TSBCT (now TOI Foundation). These experiences showed Ainsley how philanthropy can enhance the lives of Taranaki people and she is looking forward to building on those experiences and insights by contributing her time and energy to the Taranaki Foundation.
