Supporting older people to live valued, connected and meaningful lives
Age Concern Taranaki is dedicated to supporting older people across the region to live with dignity, wellbeing, independence and connection.
As part of the wider Age Concern New Zealand network, Age Concern Taranaki provides trusted advice, practical support and meaningful social connection for people aged 65 and over, along with their whānau and carers.
The organisation is passionate about helping make Taranaki one of the most age-friendly regions in New Zealand, where older people feel respected, included, safe and connected.
Older people are not a burden on society. They are a vital and valued part of our communities, bringing wisdom, experience, skills and ongoing contribution to everyday life in Taranaki.
At a time when elder abuse, loneliness and social isolation are increasing across New Zealand, Age Concern Taranaki plays an increasingly important role in supporting older people throughout the region.
Funds donated through the Age Concern Taranaki Fund will help strengthen and sustain services that promote independence, wellbeing and social connection for older people in our community.
